Then, we set off around 8:45am to Cheongpyeong Station on Gyeongchun Line to go to Garden of the Morning Calm and Petite France.
Scenic walkways, beautifully manicured grass, and flower beds connect the garden's 20 difference theme sections. The garden was also a filming location of several dramas such as You Are Beautiful (starring Jang Geun Seok, Park Shin Hye, Jeong Yong Hwa) and Marry Me Mary (Jang Geun Seok, Moon Geun Young). In addition to the beautiful foliage of the garden, there are a variety of festivals and displays held in various seasons. (Korean Tourism Organization)
Spring: Spring Garden Festival
Summer: Festival of Roses
Autumn: Festival of Chrysanthemums and Autumnal Tints
Winter: Lighting Festival
As for Petite France, it is a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside and has 16 French-style buildings. Several famous shows such as Beethoven's Virus, Secret Garden and Running Man were filmed there.
When we were researching about how to go to these two places without spending so much money and without wasting so much time waiting for buses, we luckily found this Gapyeong Circle City Tour Bus! We just had to pay 5,000 Won bus fare and can board the bus at any stop for the whole day! Plus, the bus goes to both the Graden and Petite France! Woohoo so convenient!
We reached Cheongpyeong Subway Station on Gyeongchun Line at 10:02am and we rannnnnnnnnnnn out to Exit 2 to catch the Gapyeong Circle Tour Bus at 10:05am! wheeee what a run but we made it!!!! So, we paid 5,000 Won for an all-day pass, boarded the bus and headed to the Garden of the Morning Calm. Remember to keep that bus ticket as you will need to show it to the bus driver Ajusshi whenever you board the bus.
The bus schedule was soooooooooo accurate! We really reached the garden at 10:30am. The bus stopped at the parking lot and we walked for about 2/3 minute to reach the ticket counter and paid 7,000 Won for entrance.

We left the garden with 1:00pm bus which was parked in the same parking lot and headed for Petite France. Since it was a 50 min bus ride away, I was grateful for some time to rest inside a WARM bus! haha
Adios!
xoxo
