As I had wrapped my entries for the USA West Coast trip, let me share about my 3D2N trip to Chiang Mai, before I move on to the East Coast stories.
I and my mother had to go to Phuket, Thailand for a business meeting and we extended our trip by flying to Chiang Mai afterwards. The below entries were penned by my mother in our local tongue - Burmese. Enjoy!

Day trip to Ayutthaya, Thailand (26 Sep 2015)
While I was in Bangkok recently for a business trip, we had some time for a little R&R and wondered where we could explore. It had to be somewhere near Bangkok as we only had 1 day. Since my mom didn't feel like being adventurous, day trips to tiger temple or River Kwai were ruled out. Finally, we decided upon Ayutthaya.

Mr & Missy in Thailand Day 5
A great day always starts with a great breakfast. I must say, our hotel does provide really decent breakfast! Not much variety but the quality is really good.

Mr & Missy in Thailand Day 4
I wanted to shop at Pratunam market which only opens in the morning till 10-11 am so I pitifully requested Mister to wake up early to embark on our (read as "my") shopping excursion at 730am. By 10, we had made our round and were enjoying early lunch. AND dessert of Magnum ice-cream. Can you believe that it was just half price in Bangkok compared to Singapore?!! Along our walk back to the Metz hotel, I saw this set of handbag and cabin luggage that is too cute not to buy! There went my 850 Bahts, on the impulse buy. My justification was I would need an extra bag anyway with the shopping we did at Terminal 21, Pratunam Market & the future purchases from Chatuchak market ;p
Mr & Missy in Thailand Day 3
Instead of rushing to Hua Hin vineyard on our second day, we decided to relax at the beach. After all, we had recently been to 2 vineyards in Myanmar. Also what is the point of having to keep rushing from one place to another? Such trip would just tire us out instead of re-energizing us so we packed our towels, sun block, shades & headed out to the beach at around 830am. It was about 15-20 min walk from our hotel and we found such a serene beach, so different from the likes of busy areas like Phuket & Pattaya!
Does this look familiar? It was from Nickhun & Victoria's We Got Married filming! Haha pardon the inner Hallyu fan girl in me ((:

Mr & Missy in Thailand
Hello everyone!
First of all, I'm so sorry for being MIA for the past 8 months! Life was hectic with some major changes happening to me. My parents needed help and I wanted a change so the move to Yangon happened! I was having the so-called quarter life crisis and I needed to figure out what I want in life. Plus, there was a big fuss about Myanmar being the last frontier and so forth. So why not see it for myself?
With the slow internet speed back home & me settling into a new environment & constant travelling between me and Mister to maintain our long distance relationship , my blogging was put on hold for a while.
Finally, I get to share about my Thailand trip which happened exactly a year ago! Such a long overdue post :D Better late than never yeah?
Can you believe Mister has never ever been to Thailand? Plus, we both love Thai food and I love love shopping there. So when Scoot has a promo to Bangkok, we snapped our tickets. 160 SGD for each return ticket with 15kg check-in luggage for Bangkok-Singapore. Quite a decent deal yeah? But a lot of people were surprised as it was at the height of protests and shootings in BKK's crowded areas. Mister's mom was trying to persuade us to cancel or postpone our trip till 10 days before our departure (6 March 2014). Fortunately for us, anti-government protestors decided to scale back their protests & vacate their rally sites just 3 days before our trip! Major PHEW! A sense of normality had returned and we were able to enjoy our trip to the max (:
Yes! Social Media is important in documenting all our exploits & trips & memories!
We both agreed that Scoot was the best budget flight we have ever tried. The planes were huge, there was decent leg room, the flight attendants were polite, there wasn't any delay and overall, it was a smooth flight ^-^
