Travelling.

Travelling.
Travelling leaves you speechless. Then turn you into a storyteller. Hope I have been a good one ^.^

A Journey to the K land! Day 5 - 6 Feb 2013

We left our place only around 9:30am today as I wasn't feeling so great. We had breakfast and walked around Myeong Dong till 10:30am when M Plaza opened.  M Plaza housed a Korean Tourism Organization which offers free rental of Hanbok (Traditional dress) for us to take photos.  But we had to make reservations and we didn't want to waste our time by having to wait. That's why we rushed there as soon as the doors were opened at 10:30am. We can rent Hanbok, hair accessory and a pair of shoes for 10 min.

After we indulged ourselves with pretty Hanboks, we left for Yeouido Park. From Yeouinaru Station, take exit 1 and walk straight till the traffic junction and cross the street.  Right after crossing the street, you will be greeted with the following sign for "Yeouido Park".

Winter Wonderland straight out of Narnia!

The Great King Sejong again

To warm our tummies in the cold weather, we had this sweet red-bean-paste-filled, fish-shape pancake!
3 for 1,000 Won

We went to the International Financial Centre basement to have lunch.
Food court's decor is nice, warm & inviting yea?

Big clock on the ceiling

I wanted to have this Korean style metal lunch box but it was sold out :(

So I had this dumpling soup

Then we went to Gangnam station and took this obligatory shot! :D

Oppa Gangnam Style!

Afterwards, we went to Garosu-gil (tree-lined street) in Sinsa Dong.  From exit 8 of Sinsa Station, just walk straight for about 10 min.  Garosu-gil will be on your left. There were quite a lot of beautiful cafes and boutiques but things there are quite expensive!

We stopped by at Ginkgo Avenue for some waffles and scones.

From Sinsa, we took subway to Ewha Women University and I found my favorite snack!!!
Its spicy chicken mixed with hash brown & rick cakes. So yummy!

After walking around and shopping a bit in Ewha area, we took subway to Hongik University station to meet with my travel buddy's 2 Korean friends for dinner.

Then we walked around Hongdae area to shop and we stumbled upon this cute little Hello Kitty Cafe!

I had Citron Tea to soothe my throat.  But it didn't get better :(

Adios!
xoxo
