Scoot departed at 17:45 & landed in BKK at 19:05. To avoid the well-known Bangkok Jam, we took train to city area. The train ride from airport to Pyra Thai took 40-45 min.
Since we both have cabin luggage only, we decided to just walk from Pyra Thai station to our hotel in Pratunam area. Oh boy! If you have been there, you will know there are so many alleys in that area, not to mention several deadends. So following Google Map's short cut to walk to hotel hadn't been our brightest idea. It took us about 30 min when it should only take about 15 min if we just walk along main roads.

We quickly checked in, dropped off our bags & walked around the night market to get dinner. So many yummy choices! Mister had kebab while I had stir-fried minced pork basil with rice & egg. We also had pork skewers, papaya salad, coconut juice, sticky rice & mango of course. We were ecstatic with our yummy & cheap dinner.
Then we took a quick shower, changed & took a cab to Sky Bar at Lebua. Since it was already past 10pm, there was no jam & we reached the bar in about 10-15 min. Cab fare was around 60-80 BAHT if I remember correctly. Oh my, that place was definitely one of the best bars we have been to in our lives. Amazing view of BKK with Chao Pyra River, fantastic service & great drinks. It's quite pricey though. For 3 cocktails, we spent over 2000 BAHT but I guess it's alright to splurge once in a while? Plus, we would have to pay similar amount in Singapore bars, without similar view & service! The wait staff was so courteous & friendly. When we asked them to take photos for us, they cheerfully took several photos for us with different angles, to capture the best view! It's pretty easy to get a cab back too. The hotel staff will even take note of your cab number, for safety reasons.
It was past midnight by the time we reached back to our room. Since we planned to take 8am mini van to Hua Hin the next day, we turned in immediately with happy memories of our first day ❤️
Adios!
xoxo
