Myanmar Visa Application

Recently, we just came back from Myanmar and I would like to share about Mister's Myanmar visa application process with you guys. Myanmar is opening up and many people are interested in touring the country to discover the untouched beauty. But several nationals are still required to apply for visa and here was what happened!

Tourist Visa
- valid for a stay of 28 days
- valid for entry within 3 months

Hours
0930 - 1200 : Application form submission
1630 - 1730 : Visa Collection (on the same day)

Fees
SGD 35 : Tourist Visa Application
SGD 10 : Service Fees

Documents Required for Tourist Visa - http://www.mesingapore.org.sg/visa.html
- 1 visa application form (completed & signed)
- 2 recent photos with white background (1.5 x 2 inches)
- valid passport (at least 6 months validity)
- a photocopy of the passport page with an applicant's photo
- a photocopy of Singapore ID card such as PR, EP, Student Pass (both sides)
- Original business name card (if applicable)

Process
1. Firstly, you need to get an online appointment at http://www.mesingapore.org.sg/visa.html . Click on "Online Appointment Reservation for Visa Service". Choose a date which is convenient for you.
2. Print out this appointment paper.
3. Prepare all the necessary documents.
4. On the appointment date, go to the embassy at 15 St.Martin's Drive S257996. Its just across the road from Tanglin Mall. Try not to be later than 9:30 am as the embassy just might start accepting applications based on first-come-first-served instead of the queue no on the appointment letter. Counter 8 & 9 are for Myanmar Visa Application. Submit your documents as well as visa fees and service fees.  You will then be issued a receipt.
5. Go back around 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm to collect your passport! Remember to keep the receipt when you go back for collection.

They are pretty efficient! Same-day processing is considered normal here! For other embassies, you have to pay for express service to get it done on the same day! It used to take a few business days in 2012!  THANK YOU to whoever is responsible for this big change (:

Adios!
xoxo
