Since we couldn't take our Hanbok photos the day before, we had to go back to the Korean Tourism Organization at M plaza Level 5. We reached there around 1030am and didn't have to wait long for our turn. Each group is given 10 minutes to take photos.
This mirror at KTO office made us look slim and tall ^-^
M Plaza was situated between Myeong Dong Station and Euljiro-1-ga Station. Cheonggyecheon Stream was just about 10 min walk away from Euljiro-1-ga Station. Cheonggyecheon Stream used to be a neglected watercourse until 2005 when it was restored to provide a nature sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of city life. It looked so pretty and peaceful that we saw many office people taking a walk along the stream during their lunch time.
We just kept walking along the stream to Gwangjang Market. Although we took 30-40 min, it was because we were taking photos along the way and crossing the stream through the stone bridges.
Enter from the South Gate 1 which is long the stream. You will reach the food zone if you walk straight.
Gwangjang Market is the nation's first permanent traditional market which was established in 1905. If you think about it, its 108 years old actually! It is a vibrant market offering a variety of food, hanbok, fabric, bedding and vintage items. Since we have no immediate use for Hanbok in the future, we just went there to satisfy our tummies :D
Our first stop
Kimbap / Korean rice roll in seaweed / 김밥
Japchae / Stir-fried sweet potato noodles / 잡채
So cute and pretty! I wanna buy a set for my future daughter!
In this market, there are long benches surround the food stalls and customers set there to eat. So you will be eating next to strangers sitting on the same bench!
Our second stop
Ddeokbokki / Spicy rick cakes / 떡볶이
Sundae / Pig blood sausage / 순대
Ddeokbokki / Spicy rick cakes / 떡볶이 is really really spicy! We couldn't finish it.
Our third stop
Bindaetteok / pancake made of ground mung beans / 빈대떡
This is the most famous food of Gwangjang market. We saw many people eating this pancake with makgeolli / Korean rice wine / 막걸리.

Around 2pm, Mister left for his 3-6pm class while I headed to the Express Bus Terminal Station (Line 3 / 7 / 9) to shop the at the underground shopping arcade! For hours, I shopped and shopped to my heart's content woohooo! Around 7pm, Mister met me at the Express Bus Terminal for dinner before heading to the Banpo bridge.
Our dinner was Budae Jjigae / army base stew / 부대찌개. It wasn't as spicy as the one Mister had tried in the past so he could enjoy his food this time.
Around 8pm, we headed to the Banpo Bridge to watch the Rainbow Water Fountain Show. From exit 8-1 of the Express Bus Terminal Station, turn right. Walk straight till you see the below sign at the traffic junction.
At the traffic junction, turn right. Walk straight till you reach the pedestrian crossing as shown in the photo below.
Cross the road and you will reach the wooden underpass.
Walk through this underpass and you would have reached the Han River. The bridge you see there is Banpo bridge. Since the show would only start at 9pm, we wasted our time by cam-whoring! ;p
The water fountain is only on the right side of the bridge. There is nothing on the left side so choose your position correctly. Banpo bridge is actually the world's longest bridge fountain which is illuminated by 200 lights.
Well, the rainbow water fountain wasn't that impressive. BUT colorful water fountain with soothing music, spring breeze and company of your loved ones, the experience is not bad. However, if you have very limited time in Seoul, you can give this a miss. You should rather spend your time shopping at Myeong Dong and Dongdaemun or strolling along the Cheonggyecheon stream or partying at Hongdae / Gangnam.
Adios!
xoxo
