After our morning excursion around the beautiful architectural buildings of the bay area, we took BART train for 1 stop from Civic Center station to Powell Street station.
It was fascinating to observe the Powell-Mason & Powell-Hyde cable cars turning around here, right above the station!
Union Square is just 3 blocks away while Yerba Buena Gardens is 1 block away so Powell Street station was a good place for us to start our afternoon stroll.

You can see tourists queue-ing behind me, for that historic cable car ride, unique to San Francisco!

Yerba Buena Gardens
Address: 750 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94103
The Gardens (opened in 1993) as well as the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts were part of the redevelopment efforts to move away from the industrial city image. Today, the previously impoverished run-down area was transformed into a prime real estate, complete with hotels (St. Regis, W Hotel, Marriott, Four Seasons), museums (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Jewish Museum) and shopping centers (Bloomingdale's).
We then made a short side-trip to the nearby Target to purchase gym shorts for Mister. Next on agenda was yummy alfresco lunch, just next to the gardens. On side note, when Mister went back to that place in Oct 2015, it has sadly closed down :(

Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts celebrates both classic and contemporary art forms in terms of music, dance and fine arts, from both local and international artists. However, the venue is also available for event rentals - the most notable ones would be new product launches by Apple Inc.
Urban planning gone right
How I wish we would also be able to enjoy yoga and picnic under bright sunshine and blue sky, while enjoying cooling breeze throughout!

Look at that huge bowl of coffee!
Any meal can be made yummy with that plate of bacon.
My retro cola :D
To be continued...
Adios!
Adios!
