Wow back to Korea for the 4th time and many people kept asking me why I go there so many times! Trust me, I wonder about it too :D The land of K-Pop, cosmetics, fashion and of course, some of the best tasting and healthiest food around!
As I have blogged before about my Korea trips, I requested Mister to be my guest writer, for a change in tone & perception. So here we go!

We departed Singapore at 9pm the night before and reached Incehon Int'l Airport at 730am with a short transit in between at Ho Chi Minh City.
The moment we stepped out from the plane, we already started feeling cold! The end of March usually signals the beginning of Spring but it definitely felt more like winter!
At Changi Airport, just before our departure
The moment we stepped out from the plane, we already started feeling cold! The end of March usually signals the beginning of Spring but it definitely felt more like winter!
After passing through customs, we had a driver waiting for us to take us to our AirBnb accommodation which was just fantastic. It was so cozy with a living room and a full kitchen!
Our cozy little place in Yeongdeungpo
As we were unable to check-in immediately, we headed out in the pursuit of our first meal in Korea.
Traditional Korean breakfast of Kimbab, Udon and radish and cabbage Kimchi. Yummy!
After filling our hungry tummies, it was time to explore the city! Our first stop was the cultural streets of Insa-dong.
From Yeongdungpo, take Subway Line 1 to Jonggak Station and walk, its just 5 mins away!
Yummy Korean porridge lunch at Bon Juk
When in Insa-dong, always remember to stop by the Tourist Information Center and take some pictures in Korean traditional clothing. It costs 3000 won per person but its worth it since you get 30 min! You can wear these hanboks for free at MyeongDong tourist information center but its really hard to get a slot since only same-day reservation is allowed.
All dressed up!
Our next stop was N Seoul Tower, a must-go place for all couples! Plus, it was a filming location for several Korean dramas & shows like My Love From Another Star & Running Man. To get there, we took Subway Line 3 from Anguk to Chungmuro station. From exit 2 out of the station, there are buses that bring you to N Seoul Tower (Namsan Sunhwan Shuttle Bus No. 2 and 5). Place a couple lock here together, throw away the key and legend has it that you will have locked your love forever. We had already done so back in 2013 during my exchange so this time, it was our friends' turn. If you feel like splurging, there is a rotating restaurant at the top of the N Seoul Tower. Dine with the view!
Us back in 2013
Us 2 years later at the same bench!
We then ended off our first night at the touristy place Myeongdong. Shopping time for the girls and street food for the guys! All the Korean cosmetics and skin care shops can be found here, ranging from LOPE, Laneige, Innisfree, Skin Food to The Face Shop, Etude House, Nature Republic, The Saem & Holika Holika. There was high street fashion houses like H&M, Forever21 and Basic House too. For the guys, we were just more interested in the huge galore of street food on offer - egg bread, spicy rice cakes, fried potato, grilled squid & octopus and blood sausage.
Take subway line 4 to Myeongdong Station or subway line 2 to Euljiro il-ga station. From N Seoul Tower, we just took bus 05 all the way to Myeong Dong as it was only 6 stops away.
Dinner
Stay tuned for the rest of our trip!
Adios!
Mister
